Turbulent Times

.
I am so confused right now, so fucked up in my head, I can't think straight. When I will recover from the jeopardies of my own self I will come back and post something better.

Until then....

Reflections I : Beat It

.
A young boy was walking around in the evening having played his daily dose of Cricket. He was not headed home. Just wandering here and there. A man in his thirties saw the pre-teen and smiled to himself. He was walking the same path. He might have been home-bound after a long day at work. Unperturbed he neglected the young one, walked on and soon overtook him on his way ahead.

The boy didn't like it. Not that he was in a competition, not that he was going that way either. He just didn't like it. He muttered some motivating words to himself, and reminded himself that this man has only walked past him. So he resolved to beat him in a walking contest. He didn't know where the finish line would be. He just wanted to stay ahead.

The boy started walking fast and soon enough, accomplished the first objective. The man noticed the boy trying to walk past him rather hurriedly, but he didn't care. He was thinking about getting to his home and getting some rest. He walked on. Then he noticed the boy looking back at him and he realized the boy was trying to beat him.

Then whatever crossed his mind. He walked faster and caught up with the boy. Then he put his hand on the boy's shoulder. The boy stopped, then the man asked him if he was trying to beat him. The boy was slightly embarrassed about being humbled. He didn't say anything, but the wise man understood. Then he said, "Boy, you will succeed in life. Just don't lose this competitive spirit of yours." Then he smiled at him and walked on towards his home.

For a few moments, the boy stood there wondering what to do next. Then he smiled, filled with some unknown joy. He didn't know why, but he was feeling victorious. Then he too headed home.

Chatting It Up...

.
I think popular culture has slammed chatting to be a girl-thing. Not the online chatting you know, Yahoo!, AIM, G-Talk and all... but the actual chatting. Friends sitting together, discussing things, bitching and all... I don't know what girls talk about when they sit together, but the whole wide world knows that when guys sit together, the most likely issue to come up is sex and usually guys go in great graphic details.

I have been very busy this past one-and-a-half month or so, thanks to Infotsav. But when I saw guys settling in, I thought what the hell, let's join in. And the topic was rather interesting. The guys were discussing threesomes, foursomes & orgies. OK.. that's run-of-the-mill. That night the prime point was who is comfortable about doing it along with one of us. As in a girl and two of us guys.

Everyone agreed, not surprisingly, that doing a threesome with two chicks is the best option. But what if there's one chick and two cocks (I mean roosters!!..)?? Some said no, they won't lose their clothes in front of any of us, no matter what the 'incentives' were.. Others who agreed, went into graphic details of the 'conditions' that should be met if they were to do it. And a few claimed they are comfortable with their bodies. So everything is fine until their a**holes are not jeopardized..

I never knew such seemingly endless sweeping senseless sessions could be so much fun. Then, the next night I was sitting at the best diner around, the roadside dhaba... (oh yeah!!) when two of my favourite juniors came along. We were there ordering our meals at around 9:30 PM and then started the 'bakar' soon afterwards. Recounting stories from our respective first years, second years and so on, we had so much fun, just chatting.

We got up at around 1:30 AM and found the main gates of the campus locked shut at our arrival. It was getting cold and my sweatshirt was just not doing enough. The weather these days is playing weird. The days are warm & gentle. A T-shirt is more than enough. And the nights don't give a rat's a** about it. Its the midnight wanderers like us who are caught on the tightrope. But then, who else gives a rat's a** about it??

Back After A Setback

.
Hey Yo!!

I think I am finally free of all the baggage that I was carrying around with me everywhere, but I don't know for sure. Let's leave that here.

About being back, I shouldn't have left in the first place. But I did. I was exploring Facebook and to admit it, I was hooked on to it. Then as is the case with most of the social networking sites, the initial charm is soon worn off. And one starts looking for what to do next. I have become a regular Facebooker, though. The one big plus point with Facebook is the amount of stuff you can do when you have plenty of time to waste.

But that's not the only thing that kept me away. I am the student coordinator for the Annual Technology & Management Festival of our institute... INFOTSAV '08 (http://www.infotsav.org) .... Everything is coming along well. So that's one of the things that was keeping me occupied. But that's no setback.

If you have read my posts earlier, you might have read about that hot receptionist at the Motorola Service Centre who I thought was taken. The thing is I did ask her out. And she had said she is seeing someone. So I had backed off. Then one fine day, she called and asked if we could meet for a cup of coffee. Honestly, I couldn't wipe the smirk off my face. Our courtship started and it was going great until... yeah the setback..

She told me on 10th this month that 'he' has come back and wants her to take him back. I haven't met this guy, but if there is one good thing about him, its his timing. I hated him, but my head approved of his gesture at the same time. So she said she is confused but is feeling good that he came back. I had my cue. So I broke up with her that evening, cordially and became a 'good friend'. Honestly I think that's lame. I have been talking to her and she is happy. So I guess, I am at the right place.

During Aurora '08, our institute's cultural festival (15th to 17th, this month), I was having fun all the way, all the time... this being my final year and all... So, there were too many pretty girls around. There are some stories which can make up another post, so I will cut it out. There was this one pretty girl I have a date with. Just wish it goes well.

So, that was pretty much what I did while staying away from the blogosphere. I will try to stay regular this time and as one of my old friends puts it, 'zinda' as well.
